Back then, they were just hoping for Aretha to keep singing "until 2001". Look where we are now! I saw her in person last month to get her latest Christmas CD and she signed it. I also stated to her that this version is better than Dionne's. Aretha said, "Thank You!". And thanks Rolling Stone for giving her all the Repsect in the world. We probably will never see another Aretha in our lifetime. People born between the end of the Civil War and now all could experience Aretha at some point.
