Yes, indeed, Simaro Masiya is Simaro Lutumba, the best arranger, lyricist, composer that Congo has ever known. On his footstep, Koffi Olomide, Shiko Mawatu worked with Pepe Kalle, Tshala Muana, Vonga Aye, Mukangi Deesse, Josky Kiambukyta and of course Madilu System with his many hits, there are others like Mayaula, Do Akongo, Wazekwa they both worked with Koffi Olomide, etc. Others are coming up, time will tell

Malage Lugendo led the singing for most of the song though Lukombe openned it up..

Am 100% convinced that this song was done by Simaro Masiye. I remember my brother had this song on an albulm i cannot remember so well. By the way, am from Zambia but an adent fan of congolese music. This song reminds me of times i was still about 13 years. May the good Lord of grace bless Franco and his demised generals!!!

I thought this is Pepe Dombe" (sp?).Kindu and anyone else, are you interested in building a definitive guide to African music on the web? I am a technologist but I love this music, and it would be good if we could preserve it for posterity. It is sad we cannot tell who is singing here.
