Demand Action For Our Veterans
This is the newest ad from Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA) Action Fund. The budget for the Department of Veterans Affairs is officially late. Instead of working to get it passed, Congress is caught up in a furor over Rush Limbaugh's latest comments and MoveOn.org's most recent ad.With the help of our grassroots supporters, we're running this ad to break through the clutter. If you're interested in getting involved, whether you're a veteran or a concerned civilian, visit www.iava.org.Watch the video, then sign the statement demanding Congress to pass the VA budget. Visit http://www.IAVAAction.org to sign!

Georgia 1st Congressional District Democratic candidate Bill Gillespie and State Party Chair Jane Kidd were in Savannah early last week fighting for vet benefit increases and challenging Republican John McCain's lack of support on veteran issues. Way to go Jane and Bill, our troops need all the help we they can get. Its time to start taking care of our veterans when they come back and provide them the educational opportunities and medical care they deserve.

Just sickening that our country forgets those who sacrificed the most for it.

My nephew has NO place to live, no friends, not able to work due to brain injury, has no life, nobody wants him now. He has been all used up! He is not even 30 years old yet. He has a brain injury, but walks & talks & feeds hisself -- and still the problem is he has nowhere to live. He has no hope. Please if someone knows how he can receive some real help (not just the one-a-day-pill) our family needs to know - he looks to us to guide him. He joined the armed forces.

I'm not defending Bush, but it's also not his fault. NO president has ever taken care of the vets. Not one.

Why on Earth would Bush give a shit about the soldiers? Christ, he's the one that sent them there on the premise of a lie in the first place!!!

The sacrifices made by the troops is being rewarded with betrayal by Bush.He should be standing up to see that they are cared for.For us to have to insist on care for them is inexcusable. They have been used up and now they have no worth to the war mongers it seems.Lets not let their fate not go unnoticed. The liers that led them here should be held accountable.
