Nanotechnology Takes Off - KQED QUEST

From Lawrence Berkeley National Labs to Silicon Valley, researchers are manipulating particles at the atomic level, ushering in potential cures for cancer, clothes that don't stain, and solar panels as thick as a sheet of paper. http://www.kqed.org/quest

i think with nanotechnology lasers will be alot stronger

I believe that's the heisenberg principle? But it's been proven that we can move atoms or molecules around. IBM have proven this by spelling 'IBM' with atoms.

truly amazingtheory problem with mind it can only look at one aspect at a time so we are creating the interpretation of what is known by subjective experiment in other words we cannot see totality at any one time its only because you are thinking it at that moment in time.its like having a circle of limitation or parameters.and you cannot see outside that circle due to limits of subjectivity experience.and just maybe you cannot come up with an experiment to know it.create experiment to know.

The "big corporations" you speak of are the ones who have chosen this path of life style and we have supported to make them this wealthy. There is nothing wrong with taking this path. Both routes have pros and cons. Not advancing in technology would leave us vulnrable in knowledge sence but taking this route creates us a more artificial and computarized life. Not to mention the side effects that impact us (radiation and such). But maybe the continious advancement will eliminate the cons.

control is a good thing if you really think about it. do you really want a bunch of people running around out of control? control has been going on since the beginning of human civilization. a smart athiest would love to see humans controlled by religions because it creates more stability than it does chaos, on a continental scale.

who exactly is "we"? you mean big corporations that only wanna get rich? I've been living since the 80's and I can guarantee you that the 80's was a much better time to live than now. and the ironic thing is technology was nothing back then compared to now.

people say there's a good chance life exists out there in the universe. I think there's an even greater chance that if life becomes spacefaring, it also tends to do experiments that push the laws of the universe and the mistake that is common is they do it on their home planet, only to wipe themselves out. certain scientific experiments should only be done on other planets where life does not exist. the risk is just not worth it. now if only I could brainwash humans to think like I do? /sarcasm

nano viruses will destroy us all, be careful how far you tread into technology
