Yeah yall...for all you Benson fans and jazzophiles out there, like me, some songs are just pure masterpieces! George Benson's place in contemporary jazz history is firmly entrenched!...pimp on George!

This muthufucker could have been a successful solo singer let alone his ridiculous guitar talent...he sounds like donny hathaway sometimes. This is true pimp status.

There will always be ignorance surrounding all things, even something as insignificant as music. People will always combat each other to claim "racial superiority" no matter how obscure that idea may seem. It's a shame people can't just enjoy good music and for a minute forget about there ethnicity and petty rivalries.

very true. Benson is amazing. But all this racial ignorance surrounding great music pisses me off
SmoothJazzLuv (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Just like anything in human nature it varies, if a man of different ethnicity but equal talent where to perform the song the results would be the same. I don't know how this racially motivated arrogance came to be. That being said however I must state George Benson has to be one of the greatest vocalists out there.

So true. Any white man put in the same conditions that any famous black players were put in would have the same talents. FUCK RACISM!
SmoothJazzLuv (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Why do people have to bring race into everything? Music isn't black or white, just enjoy it and shut up!
