There is that, but if you think about I am sure that given the technology available and resources that they would have liked to create something this, and until they can invent time machines or age reduction, you're gonna need new actors. I will give it a chance, but like you I am dissapointed. I would have liked a film where TNG hands over to some new generation.

so it is litle stupid for me to start new story know and one more thing i hate when they go back we should go forwar the did generations now yhey need to go in time after generetions and not going back again to time when kirk was young they did sam with batman they made 4 movies and then they mad batman begins and they made again film with joker and 2 face and batmen already killed them in first few movies i dont understand why do they do that

i dont like just one thing about new star trek movie tos ended with deatdh of kirk in 7th movie and the story with new generations didi not ended in nemesis

if your not happy with the TEASER and don't like the concept of the film then don't go see it, simple as. no one's forcing you. who cares if it's not canonically correct, you watch a film to be entertained not to scrutinise over every little detail. the film has been made to attract a broader audience for a franchise with a declining fanbase. Paramount is a business whos' sole purpose is to make films to make money, more people going to see it = more money, live with it
