They're located in the southwestern U.S. and northwestern Mexico -- most prominent in the Sonoran Desert. They can get to a little over 2 feet long.

you can buy water monitors her ein the u.k and burms with out licenses but basically we dont get the wide range you do and we need a license for most stuff here it suks.

They do have powerful bites, but you don't have to drown them to get them off. The only people who get bitten are the ones that handle them. They're not aggressive unless you mess with them.

arent gila monsters the ones that if they bite you, you have to drown them or something to get them off because theyre bite is so powerful or sumthin?
