Senator McCain As A Vet, I Have Concerns
With the increase of veterans returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan and in the aftermath of the Walter Reed Fiasco veterans health care can no longer be on the back burner. The need for a fully funded and fully staffed veterans health care program is imperative if America is to fulfill its promise to provide quality and affordable health care to the men and women who have served our countryUnfortunately,Senator John McCain and some lawmakers are proposing to privatize veterans healthcare - throw veterans into the private health care industry that is failing millions of Americans. That's not the way to fulfill America's promise to our veterans. That's why the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE)opposes any proposal to privatize veterans health care. The right course is to fully fund and staff the VA.For more information go to www.fundtheva.com

To the person that said we are better with McCain, instead of Obama or Clinton. If you had been going through the nightmare, I have been going through, you would not say that. I am a Repulican, but these soldiers coming back from Iraq and other placee, need a president that will support them and us that are already vets. I have heard from my supervisor that some soldiers have commited sucide, beacuse the were not getting care from the VA. We vets and returning soldiers deserve better.
