universalLove365:: shes not even actually 1/2 white, "i'm not talking about that, cute they met and fell in love, blood, I'm talking about that slave raped 6 times by the master" The whole poem is about shes not really accepted by her own race because shes too light skinned because she has maybe more white than a lot of black people. pay attention to "my roots are deep too....." she wants to be more accepted by blacks. "Maybe I'll be green cuz my people drove me there"

universalLove365, she is not a racist. Go back and LISTEN to her lyrics. she is NOT directly talking about her hair. Obviously theire is no such thing as biracial hair, but she is talking about her skin color. She is talking about her BLOOD. Us people, half white, half black are discriminated by both races. White people think were too, out of control and we dont speak proper english, that we always commit crimes. Blacks think were too "suburb-ish" that we don't fit in with them.

For one. It's about facing racism and saying "Forget what you think. This is who I am and I love it."
