hmm... in my (humble) opinion, an ura-ken is the punch with the best strength-speed ratio. plus it has almost no recovery time. of course if you don't know how to perform it with dexterity this might result in a sucker punch as you said. but if done properly this is devastating. i remember my sensei telling me that (in spain) in the 90s the ura-ken was very popular in kumite tournaments, but referees soon banned its use because it was hard to keep control over that move, as it's hard to cancel

I'm not sure if I agree with the term cheap shot. I mean the idea is to get as many hits in as possible while covering up what you are doing, so you dont get countered and hit back. A street fight itself is cheap so I dont see there being any cheap shots at all in a "street fight"

its almost like a cheapshot, but very effective in a street fight, as your opponant will think your about to throw a right...and to his suprise he gets snapped with a left
