Conductor is Harry Bicket - absolute legend, look him up if you can, he's the director of the english concert

The plot is not less ridicolous than the staging! Enjoy the wonderfull voices and the superb orchestra.

I don't think it is for us to decide what directors should 'want' to bring attention to or not. There is plenty relevance to the plot in the staging itself; granted if this is someone's introduction to Rinaldo, it may be confusing, but I maintain that the staging in this production is cleverly thought-out and deserved to be produced.

The stagging is not relevant, the singing and orchestra is first rate.

It's not a question of open mind. The stagging is too ridiculous. Stage directors should not want to attract more attention to the stagging than to singing and plot.

i must agree - this version has the weirdest interpretations, but the song is one of my all time favorites!

I don't like it, especially scenic and choreography. What a pity that I cannot buy a dvd whith normal interpretation..
