(Some)You guys makes me laugh. I bet that most of you guys who writes "tkd sux, dats dat" and so on, are 10year olds who just started on a Martial-Art and believe that they are "the best". Now, all Martial-Arts are great to a certain degree. I'm a TaeKwon-Do guy, but I got friends that do the art of Kung-Fu, Karate, Muay Thai and so on. I learned so much and I respect them all! People.. please grow up and learn to respect. To be a Martial-Artist you must learn and respect them all. Not just one.

of course, punches and kicks are focused on 99% of the time, but believe me, knees and elbows are part of TKD, nobody really bothered with them because they are not allowed in competition, but they are there...tell your korean friends to see page 74,and 79, vol.2 of the TKD encyclopedia...knees and elbows...

I dont think knees and elbows have been part of TKD from the start. People know that TKD fighters now focus more on PUNCHES and punch is just a basic skill of martial art, but TKD just STARTED to focus on it. So the advance skills like knees and elbows are not possible to be included in TKD from the start.By the way, knees and elbows are used in Karate. I agree with that but not TKD :P Even my Corean friends told me TKD has to focus on more punches - -*
