Does anyone know who's playing piano on this? My friend wants to know. As for me: Amy: my Mom could sing & always said she would've loved to have a voice like your Mom's....they're both sigin' in heaven now

This has to be the best video posted on YouTube! Thank you so much. I watch it over and over again in wonderment. Jo, Ella, Harry James, Benny Goodman? You are making me crazy!

Sorry about your mum's passing Amy. I think it is wonderful that you are acknowledging people's comments. Am in Scotland and was not born until 1965. However, the song you belong to me I adore and decided to find out who the lady was who sang it! Now am a big fan and I can imagine my dad in days gone by, slow dancing with the ladies to your ma's music, you must be so proud. Bestest :) Janey

And that, folks, is the way music was done in the middle fifties that many people like to make fun of. What the generations of today are slowly coming to realize is "hey, there WAS good music before 1980. What many people don't know is there is great music from the late thirties through today. All one has to do is look for it and you can find it. People should look at some of the artists from other countries, too. America certainly doesn't not have a monopoly on talent.

Amy, My condolences to you and yours. Your mother's songs will live forever. My dad, a WW2 pilot, last week said: "I saw Jo Stafford in a USO show and when she sang, it seemed like she was singing to me and no one else was around" He also mentioned that she told pretty good jokes ! What a great lady.

Hi, this is Jo's daughter, Amy. We watched this and other videos last Tuesday when we came home from her funeral. What a comfort and joy to hear her voice and see her as she was when I was little. I was 2 when this was taped. What great talents all these people were. Thanks for all of your wonderful comments. She would have loved to read all of these,(well most of them :) ) She was a great lady, a great singer and a great Mom. Cheers, Amy

Jo Stafford's voice left me calm, and GLAD to be alive in my illness as a child... SING for the souls in HEAVEN, dear Jo, and say HELLO to MS. ELLA!!!
