amazing he can do piaffe with no bridle, but extremely poor piaffe nevertheless.

Just look how tentative Red Sun is! It is really humbling when you build a language with your horse using patience instead of force and end up with a flight animal that is willing to follow you the same way he or she follows the alpha horse.

i can't post a slightly argumentative comment on this video's commentary and not post a legit comment about the video itself. I love watching this video. The horse reminds me of my sister's horse. Lots of ppl have always mistaken her countenance as being angry when she is actually just doing something she loves.

I don't mind that you agree with that view, but I can't tell a lie...I was actually being sarcastic. The horse in the vids I referred to is a Level 3 horse, and she obviously has spirit. I don't see anything wrong with the system so far, but I totally respect the opinion that it is not flawless. I think that someone who could better relate to you is a user that goes by turtle something or other. Sorry again.

I agree with youmsityhorse2001. There are good and great things about parelli but there are also bad and worse things about parelli! (spirit broken by parelli's "spirit breaking domination"-love. )Look at the training closely and you start to see things not right with the system and training!

Teaching a horse to rear isn't actually stupid if you have a solid foundation with your horse, and he totally respects you as the dominant or alpha in the relationship. Your trainer porbably doesn't use psychology, with most trainers, its the "My way or the highway" approach

Um, i'd say you can't do this without a special bond - and this "control" you talk about? Go back & have another look - no saddle, no bridle, nothing but trust, love, language, leadership and a damn good foundation including a special bond. Make vs Want - thats what its all about.

I love to watch this clip. It makes you breathe slower and relax. I totally agree with seabiscuit, too.
