Childbirth with Hypnosis

www.pregnancybirthandbabies.comI used hypnosis while having Bryson. He was my 3rd baby and 2nd VBAC. I wanted a natural childbirth, but was nervous about the pain. I used Hypnobabies www.hypnobabies.com and had a completely unmedicated AND comfortable birth. It was so empowering.Visit www.ican-online.org for more information on VBACs.

Great video. I am 30wks pregnant and doing the Hypnobirthing course in the UK. Going for a VBAC this time with minimum intervention. Doctors stay away with your syntocin, morphine and scalpels. Leave me with the midwives. I CAN DO IT MYSELF!!

pain level would be 1- really no pain. But pressure and intensity would probably be 8. So it was intense and powerful, but not painful for me.

It's interesting to read the comments here about pushing = pain. I didn't feel pain with pushing and crowning. I was vocalizing "ahhh" loudly and above anything it just felt weird to me, but pushing actually felt good. Don't get me wrong, it was intense, but I didn't scream my head off. My mom said it was funny because the way I talked with my OB during pushing was calm like I was sitting across a desk from him. I even changed the track on my MP3 player in-between pushing contractions.

I just gave birth to my first child 6/13/08 (8 lb, 4 oz) and I used the HypnoBabies program as demonstrated in this video. I had a completely natural birth and was only in labor for about 7 hours. My labor went pretty much like this and I would not say that I ever really felt pain, just intense discomfort at times, but never actual pain. I had my doubts about this program working but it did for me and I have convinced many others that this can and does work for many women if you believe it will.

I used self hypnosis for my 3 kids. I had trained myself to center my pain in one leg muscle, which I tightend. The nurse told me I had to relax, or I would hinder the "process". I said "I am" and she had to feel my tummy to believe that I could indeed keep one tight muscle and all the rest of me very calm and relaxed. Despite ending up with 2nd degree lacerations from use of oxytocin and long labor, no meds. Not that the doc and nurse did not try...lol Very nice video!
