The awful things done to the cherokee nation was before the forming of the KKK. The KKK came after the Civil War to opress the Freed Black slaves. History of the whites are written by wars, that is all they have known, even Christianity could not quell their ambitions for conquest. So much for Love one another and do unto others as you would want them to do unto you, very sad.

My great-great grandma and grandpa walked on the Trail of Tears. Luckily both survived. I am part native american (Cherokee) and part German. You would never know I was part Cherokee (Except for my high cheek bones) because i have blonde hair and blue eyes. (Typical German):)

I didn't know about the trail of tears until i learnt about this from the Testament song of the same name. Its ironic how one of the greatest American metal vocalists (Chuck Billy) is a pomo indian... Great film BTW.

Was a sad chapter in the Cherokee history as was most. We all have to start realizing we are all part of eachother and all part of the earth we all live in. When we can learn to love and respect each other then we will all know true meaning of existance.
