Where The Wild Things Are - Early DISNEY CG Animation Test
1983 animation test by Disney, directed by John Lasseter (who went on to direct and produce most of the Pixar films, including Toy Story). Back then Disney owned the film rights to the Where The Wild Things Are books... they didn't use them, though, so they lost them. Check out this amazing test, which combined traditional hand-drawn, 2D animation with then-state-of-the-art 3D computer animation!

Holy crap! 1983? Really?? That's one year after the NES!! Astonishing! And, btw: boratmania and AGR04, you guys actually managed to keep an argument under control and act as mature people should. On internet, and on youtube in particular, that's almost as breathtaking as this vid, so props on you two. ^^

WOW! that is amazing, i had no idea. ive seen the release date for this for next year but this something disney had planned for over 25 years. even in the early testing it looked amazing.

Saying it like that, RobinHood, makes it sound like 2D animation is completely out in Disney. From what I remember, the most popular shows on Disney Channel are either 2D or Live Action.

Anyone who says they hate 3D or they hate Pixar but love Disney are obviously holding a grudge against 3D for becoming popular. The whole "this" beats "this" argument is flawed from the start because you're assuming that the movies are competing. SO WHAT if you like an old movie and don't like a new movie. Kids LOVE Toy Story just as much as they love Bambi. They just like being told stories. Your whole elitist 3D/Pixar are bad and 2D/old-Disney are good doesn't mean anything to anyone.

It's fine, I accept your apology. You appearently have strong feelings that you like to defend, I'm like that too. I admire your mature attitude. Hopefully we can be friends :D

i apologize dude. i'm sorry for this. maybe i shouldn't have countered you're opinion. it's just that sometimes i get extremely upset when i disagree with someone's opinion or if i think someon's opinion is wrong. do you accept my apology? and thanx for ur maturity in dealing with the mean things i said. in many occasions once people judge me wrong or counter me or anything i get enraged. i apologze once more
