Judo/sambo.........not exactly miles apart are they?? Fedor is good at both as was katsuhiko kashiwazaki

Sambo is the base that Fedor works from. I realize he trains Judo and is VERY good at it. But if you ask Fedor what style he relies on he will say Sambo.

What you dont see is that the coach told him not to embarass the americans as this would be bad for judo. and they edit the sound where he says when to throw the american on the unedited tape you hear a clear command and bang he throws him.

Rubbish is has been my primary base and is highly effective in street scenarios throwing someone onto concrete usually ends a fight and if it doesn't i choke them or break an arm. the advantage judo has is that you know it works because you use it at full power when training against a resistant opponent, lots of deadly arts practitioners have no idea what its like to not have someone comply and move the way they expect i know i can throw and submit. Plus it is the basis that fedor works from.
