Requested: Byler at U.S. Civil Rights Comission Pt. 1

Eric Byler: Seconds after the hearing ended, I was informed by Greg Letiecq, President of Help Save Manassas that I had "lied" about three things. 1) He did not post a photo I had mentioned on Black Velvet Bruce Li. 2) Help Save Manassas did not dominate Cititzens Time. 3) Help Save Manassas did not collaborate with and is not affiliated with FAIR (Federation for American Immigration Reform). In the lobby outside, Greg and Dan Stein, Executive Director of FAIR, both assured me there had been no collaboration and that in fact they had met for the first time just that day. Subsequently, I contacted the U.S. Civil Rights Commission, The Washington Post, and the D.C. Examiner to tell them that this portion of my testimony was strongly disputed, and that I did not wish to be quoted. As for the other two complaints, Greg was mistaken. The photo he denied posting remains on his blog. Perhaps he did not post it himself, but I hadn't said that he did; only that it appeared. Although there were more speakers against the resolution than for it at September and October B.O.C.S. meetings, on July 10th, 2007, the day the infamous immigration resolution (which may or may not have been written by FAIR) was passed, members of Help Save Manassas were highly visible, and could be said to have dominated Citizens' Time. On that day, Dumfries District Supervisor Maureen S. Caddigan (R) cited hundreds emails organized by HSM as the reason why she was voting against constituents who had testified in person.

"an old man who, for whatever reason, objected to the Spanish language" ... yeah... and if one white guy is a racist then all whites are racist! kinda like hispanics... they are all illegal.

Say hello to your future police state. Already 16 states have commited to the ICE training program for illegal immigration.

Speak for yourself, please. One of the first videos that 9500Lib posted included an old man who, for whatever reason, objected to the Spanish language being spoken at a local hardware store despite the fact that the law permits Spanish to be spoken. There are plenty of people who are prejudice [sic].

Citizens aren't prejudice,we just want the laws followed not bastardized.

What they like to do is nit pick at one insignificant comment and use that to try to discredit the entire testimony. HSM is not an affiliate of FAIR. Eric misspoke. BFD. It's not relevant to the point he was trying to make with your testimony. On his blog, Letiecq also made personal insults. Never did he address the main point of Eric's testimony.
