I'm going to be sarcastic because this is bothering me and sarcasm is probably the only way to say what everyone wants to hear- *Yes, we're clueless. We buy things without checking the pricetag. We kill innocent people. We start war. Our gas prices are high and we don't care.*(end sarcasm).
