I agree you should only do this if you know in depth about the ecology of the area. I was not endangering any species here, I wish I could, but i can't because there are no native crayfish in the region. I just wanted to tell people about the problem. Thanks mate,Ben

Not really your best moment-there's enthusiasm & then there's going over the top & endangering what few native crayfish we have.Wildlife is already exciting-if you want to show people that, show them the wildlife rather than yourself jumping in a stream. All that will do is excite people about jumping in streams. I am all for getting people excited about wildlife (I work for a wildlife trust), but do it in a way that won't damage wildlife-jumping on something is rarely the way to conserve it!
