Right...I said she wasn't a real Blues singer. I have no argument about her jazz chops - she's all that. This tune just didn't convince me.

I love here singing too but in this piece, she sounds kinda generic to me...that's just how I feel it. I'm not comparing her to anyone else, either but I've just heard her do things that were more special/interesting than this...

What do you mean she's not a real blues singer? She's pretty real to me. She's herself and not Koko Taylor or Big Mama Thornton. I love her singing on Good Night and Good Luck.

I just saw her at Carnegie Hall on a double bill with Al Green. Simply amazing! This song was one of the many highlights of the show. Thanks for posting, as far as I can see, there's not much recent material of Dianne on youtube.

Thanks for posting. Love this woman.It's one thing to read about Sarah and Ella. But to have had pleasure of seeing Dianne grow into a legend has truly been the greatest musical experience ever.
