Rise Against is an activist group, most of their music is supposed to inspire you to get up off your ass and do something if you feel you've been wronged. They speak about standing up for what you believe in and not backing down even if it means you have to fight. That's what I get out of this song and most of the other music that they sing. They sing for change and for a better world, probably in vain, but at least I get to be moved by something I feel is actually "speaking" to me.
