WFXL and WALB towers fall
A military helicopter hit the very top of the WFXL tower, rendering it not repairable. A demolition crew was to bring it down, but since it was so close to the WALB tower, experts thought that the chance of both towers falling was high. They were right. One of the guy wires entangled itself with the otherwise perfect WALB tower, snatching it down as well. Oops! The pieces I zoom in on the ground near the top of the tower are part of the military helicopter's blades.

the white pufs of smoke in the air, are shape charges that snaped the guy wires on the tower. the wires had to be cut at that point because the 2 towers had interlaced guy wires. but 1 wire wraped around anouther and 2 towers come down for the price of one.

The Chinook crashed, killing 4 of the 5 US Army personnel. Probably some hot shot pilot like this one:watch?v=PFK12QZ5gSIThe military had a journalist reporting on the story arrested.
