Also would have Intel. They dont over heat most AMD's have to be over clocked so much that leads to there extreme heat. but thats just my onion. Intel all the way

lol but i'm sitting here with my amd athlon x2 for almost 3 years now, and will get a new comp by the end of next year anyway, and it will be running cool as ever and i would still get a new comp.now if u buy intel, like u said, quality right, and how long do u suppose to keep it without going out and buy a new processor? i mean on intel, i heard they last like 10 years minimum! but since u said quality over pricing, i guess u ARE using ur comp for up to 10 years then?

2 different families? thats what their doing here too right? im just talking about amd in its total. What are you talking about small jump?? quickpath= theoratical 3200mhz FSB... thats double the best quad cores. triple channel mem. mem controller on proc. u name it, ive seen benchmarks where the cheapest core i7 outperformed the best core2 quad core extreme 3 to 1. Only the clock speed hasnt changed but that doesnt say shit, it hasnt changed since the P4.

Wha? Now that's just not fair! You can't compare processors of different families! That's like comparing an Athlon 64 x2 to a P4!And not too fond of the i7s myself. After the huge jump in performance from the P4s to Core 2s, the small jump in performance from C2 to i7 seems just... mediocre...
