This is the best movie ever! 8 inspired me to play table tennis. I've seen this movie lots times before and I never get tired watching 8.

The book is a lot crueler than the movie. Also, there are lots of scenes in the book that are not funny or depicted in good taste. Such as the movie comment, "Life is a box chocolates. You never know what you're going to get" is quite different from the comment made in the book. Also, Gump's mother is not completely likable like Sally Field is in the movie.
