It is spelled Krav Maga with a K and you don't necessarily need your whole life to learn it. Plus it is not an art form although it adopts lots of moves from different martial arts like karate etc... that are more of an art form. Krav Maga is all martial and not art have you heard that? :o)

Not only is it the general word for martial arts, it is also the specific word used to refer to set forms and styles formulated and organized by the chinese government, called wushu.
