Pretty much concur...but I do not think it is that specific. And I believe the broader sense is is more accurate and far more sad. I am a heterosexual man who loves his grown children, adults now. It is not about Bush. It is about men like Bush. May God preserve us.

All of the lyrics make sense for that interpretation, except for this part, IMO--"I'm gonna find me a manLove him so wellLove him so strongLove him so slowWe're gonna go way beyondThe walls of this fortress"The "fortress" part kind of fits, but then the rest just sounds like sex to me.

I totally agree!! I'm glad she's not "Hollywood famous", cause we see how mean and disrespctful people are to the ones who are in that intense limelight... they can't catch a break! they get shit no matter what they do... SAD and PATHETIC! that is what the world has come to... Patty is SO great!! =)

I'm glad that she's slightly under the radar. Anyone who knows Patty Griffin respects her so much. if she was pushed under the nose of everyone else she wouldnt have that kind of respect, she would just be another woman singer. Her amount of success is perfect in my eyes!
