As a hearing person (coda and interpreter,) I am not able to use multiple phones with the same number, either. I look at using different VPs from different companies the same way. Different phones = different phone numbers. Different equipment = different phone numbers.

Wow, it's hard enough to remember one number! Hadn't thought abt that problem before. I've had same phone # for many years now though I've switched carriers. (hearing)
