Platte Canyon Grill Crawdad Feed!

The Platte Canyon Grill is an authentic New Orleans style Cajun restaurant located in Bailey, Colorado. It is a family business operated by Kelly and Bennett Murphy. The taste of the finest Louisiana cuisine is available for the mountain community southwest of Denver. As a reward for the hard work of their employees and patronage of numerous friends, Bennett prepared 70 pounds of premium crawfish in the authentic style of New Orleans. Ingredients including mushrooms, onions, andouille sausage, potatoes, and corn on the cob were added to the homemade boil. The crawdads went in last to cook for 15 minutes and then steep in the soup for 20 minutes. The feast was served on tables covered with trash bags and topped with newspaper. It was "family style" all the way for the spicy hot feast.A second batch was cooked up and served to late arriving guests. Truly a memorable evening that was picked over to the last morsel!
