These guys were great, I remember frantic dancing crowds at their shows in Ann Arbor...one show in particular at the Student Union. Hope they're all well!

Nice song. I was the original drummer in the Streetlight Knights. I left just before they changed name to SLK and went the ska route. They told me I was the Pete Best of the group (they hit it bigger after I left). Didn't know they went to Europe. Interested in hearing about original members and what they're doing.

Wow, what a flashback. I remember slam dancing to SLK in A2 Freshman and Sophomore year. If anyone knows where I can find some of their music in computer format (cd or mp3), please message me. Great memories.

ah, A2 & Detroit in the early eighties, I had a lot of fun @ the SLK gigs. Anyone out there ever go see the Layabouts gigs around the Cass Corridor? Or BFA in Windsor, Ontario [@ the King Wah Diner when the coppers broke up the show]? Last time I SLK was at Traxx on Gratiot in Detroit. Circa '84 0r '85. Not long after they opened for the final Clash gig in Detroit. My friends & I had some fun....

I heard rumor the pompous lead guitarist took to the film business making 'b' films, never again to play guitar let alone sing (he never could). Oh, but those films pay good money I hear....

Legend has it that their rhythm guitarist, one "Stinky McNasty", was too drunk to actually play on their European tour and they had to cancel. This album was shelved and the band soon drifted into a life of crime and idle buggery - except for the lead guitarist who became a God among men and no longer speaks to mortals.True! One Who Knows
