This is excellent to see. I just ordered a M1530 this afternoon and hoped that OS X would run on it flawlessly. Whilst not quite flawlessly, I have hope to get it running to a degree in which I'm happy :)I especially like the MediaDirect button hack. What is the alternative way of choosing which OS to boot? A boot menu or an actual keypress like on the Macbooks?

ya, the original hard drive did make that weird sound, but I replaced it with a new 250GB toshiba. Don't worry about that noise, it's not gonna harm your hard drive. Now, I use that hard drive as an external hd and it makes that noise every time I unplug it :(

does your Hard drive make a weird noise when you turn the computer off by pushing the powerbutton?
