Jews and Non-Jews can get into Heaven - Rabbi Sholom Lipskar

Sholom Dovber Lipskar is a Chabad rabbi who founded the Landow Yeshiva Center in Miami Beach in 1969, he has served as its principal and dean of its elementary, academy, and high school studies. Rabbi Sholom Lipskar also founded The Shul of Bal Harbour, Aleph Insititute and the Educational Academy for the Elderly in 1981. As The Shul's head Rabbi he is both the spiritual leader and educational programmer for all ages. Since receiving rabbinical ordination from the Central Lubavitch Yeshiva in Brooklyn in 1968, Rabbi Sholom D. Lipskar has worked as an emissary for the Lubavitcher Rebbe. Rabbi Sholom Dovber Lipskar is recognized as an international leader bringing Torah values to people from all walks of life. http://www.theshul.org The Shul is one of the country's most unorthodox, Orthodox synagogues, a popular center for both Jews who are returning to their Jewish roots & experienced congregants. The Shul sits at the intersection of Bal Harbour, Bay Harbor Islands, Indian Creek Village and Surfside in Florida. Founded at the direction of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Menachem M. Schneerson, and under the guidance of Rabbi Sholom D. Lipskar, The Shul is a spiritual guidepost and service center for the community to express their spiritual needs and gain inspiration to develop the same while connecting with Almighty G-d. The Shul is referred to as a "Community House of G-d" -- a spiritual lighthouse from where holiness and G-dliness emanate to the entire community. A shul is a Beit Ha-Knesset, house of gathering for prayer, a Beit Ha-Midrash, house for learning, a Beit Gemilut-Chassadim, a house for acts of kindness, and a Mikdash Me'at, a minor Holy Temple. The Shul offers all religious and spiritual services including rites of passage, momentous occasions, anniversaries, expressions of happy and sad moments, the celebration of traditional milestones, holidays and ceremonial relationships. The Shul also awakens and helps to develop the spiritual inner-self of the person. Manifesting the concept that Jewishness or Judaism is not merely a religion but a way of life. The Shul is a meeting place for social, religious, educational, cultural, and family events and where people seek guidance and advice for whatever issues life presents. The Shul is available and accessible to every single Jewish man, woman and child. The Shul is based on the ideology of Chabad Lubavitch, which has at its foundation based on the encompassing mitzvah "to love every Jew as one loves himself" and to permeate that love with Acts of Kindness, Mitzvahs, Torah Study and Prayer. The Shul is a place where people want to go -- not have to go; where you enjoy being -- not where you look forward to leaving. A home away from home, a gathering place where unity is paramount. The Aleph Institute is a non-profit national humanitarian organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for both prisoners and military personnel and their families. Rabbi Sholom Lipskar has created alternative punishment philosophies and developed unique educational opportunities for the general public in the field of treatment of closed populations.Jew, Jewish, Judaism, שלום דובער, Shalom Dov Ber, Chasidic, Chasid, hasid, Hasidic, Hasidism, Hassidism, Chassidus, Chassidut , Chasidut, לובאוויטש, חסידות , Chassidus, חסידיש, חב"ד , shluchim, shliach, Shlichus, emissary, emissaries, Tanya, kabbalah, kabala , Kabbalistic, קַבָּלָה, Torah, Talmud, חב"ד, יַהֲדוּת , Tanakh, kiruv, outreach, baal tshuvah, 60th , נִיסָן Miracles, The Shul, Bal Harbour, Shalom Lipskar, Rabbi Lipskar, synagogue, בית כנסת, beit knesset, house of assembly, שול, בית תפילה beit tefila, house of prayer, אסנוגה, Holy Temple, Messiah, משיח; mashiah, mashiach, moshiach, Israel, יִשְרָאֵל‎, Yisra'el, State of Israel, מְדִינַת יִשְרָאֵל, Jerusalem, יְרוּשָׁלַיִם‎, Yerushaláyim, Inspiration, Divine providence, השגחה פרטית, Hasgochoh Protis, Hasgachah Pratit, Hebrew, יְהוּדִי, Yehudi, יְהוּדִים, Yehudim, Ladino, ג׳ודיו, Djudio, ג׳ודיוס, Djudios, Yiddish, ייִד, Yid, ייִדן, Yidn, Israelite, Torah ,תּוֹרָה, Mount Sinai, הר סיני, Lipsker, Lipskier, State of Israel, מְדִינַת יִשְרָאֵל, Land of Israel, אֶרֶץ יִשְׂרָאֵל, Eretz Yisrael, Israelite, ישראל, Israeli, Children of Israel, Banu Israel, B'nei Yisrael, B'nai Yisrael, B'nei Yisroel, Bene Israel, בני ישראל, Bani Israel, Promised Land, הארץ המובטחת, Holy Land, ארץ הקודש, Zion, Sion, צִיּוֹן, Mount Zion, הר צִיּוֹן‎, Har Tziyyon, Old City, Arab-Israeli conflict, הסכסוך הישראלי ערבי‎, , Shiloh, Yehuda VeShomron, Settlements, Golan Heights, Hebrew Bible, Old Testament, Middle Eastern, Middle East, Israel Defense Forces, IDF, Defense Military of Israel, שילה, Shilo, Israel's, anniversary, Seven Laws of Noah, שבע מצוות בני נח, Sheva mitzvot B'nei Noach, Noahide Laws, B'nei Noah, בני נוח, Children of Noah, Noahides, http://www.asknoah.org, http://www.noahide.org

Very engaging presentation carried, I felt, by a genuine, almost urgent sense of conviction that pulls in the viewers' attention... Lipskar san also showed the good knack of bringing history to life in the present day sense, effortlessly weaving back and forth over thousands of years. So, Cheers, I've never really enjoyed a sermon before! P.S. Also nice to see you address positive considerations towards proselytizing...

Shalom Rabbi, how are you? well I hope.I'd like to discuss the Torah with you. You said some good things. But I had a question for you, how is a person to get to heaven simply by being a good person? I thought God's standard was perfection, and I know I am good, but not perfect.

Thanks Rabbi. I like your style of jewishness and chasidishness which seems like it comes from the common sense of the Lubavitcher Rebbe. Most other chassidus, unfortunally, attemot to teach about the butter and the cream cheese but forget about the bread. I"ve always wanted to start at the basics. I have never even been tought in school the whole Tenach or even the whole torah sh'bcsav. Where can i find in brooklyn, a study group about strictly the Tenach without "explainers" such as Rashi etc?

I'm gonna try this. I've learned a lot, been to Israel twice, took a few weeks of Torah classes at Or Sameach in Jerusalem. I want to understand, and I will make that effort. Great video, Rabbi!
