Guangzhou is going to host 2010 Asian Games.Guangzhou city is the capital city of Guangdong province. It is the first city opening door to outside world on 1978 in China. Located very near to Hong Kong, Guangzhou people share the same language Cantonese with Hong Kong people and the same culture.This city is one of the most wealthy city in China with 10,000 USDs GDP per capita in the year of 2006. Guangdong province's GDP(GROSS DOMESTIC PRODUCT) in 2007 is 390,000,000,000 USDs, ALREADY exceeding Singapore, Hong Kong and Chinese Taiwan(323,410,000,000 USDs) and is ONLY half of South Korea's GDP(826,000,000,000 USDs).Guangdong province is also the NO.1 economy powerhouse in China followed by Shandong, Zhejiang and Shanghai. corruption failed long ago. people are too selfish to be able to exercise it properly. people are selfish and want to see a return for every effort they make. communism is for a perfect society and the last time i checked there are none.

Dude Northerners and Southern Chinese are two different people. Southerners (cantonese) are more similar to Vietnamese and cambodians. cradle of Chinese civilization is like in Hebei/Hunan area. we just absorbed the southern aboriginals (current day cantonese chinese) like 2000 years ago, so they're missing from chinese history for 3000 years

Communism is not perfect, as there is corruption in every political system, but the basis is COMMUNITY (One-For-All, and All-For-One, like the story, "The Three Musketeers"). Don't be selfish! It is only those who work to rid our society of corruption who will make it better.

I lived in Gz for 3yrs, its an awesome city and i go back when ever i can.. All of china is amazing though :)
