The best I heard Nusrat was in an American album...Only One-Mahmood Khan featuring Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan...that album is a masterpiece....

shukhf1994, musical foundations were a cultural product with all types of influences from the region. Its a civilizational accomplishment, not a national or religious product. just 50 years ago, the region wasnt divided into 4 countries, it was one indian subcontinent. lets not forget our history now...

I don't have a problem with Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan singing these types of songs. I would only disagree if he called it Pakistani because it isn't. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha and Ni are used in this song and is present throughout the song and therefore it is Hindustani. These seven sylabals were given to us in the form of the Vedas. No one can disagree with this fact. Not even Nusrat himself.
