Well, with a population of 1 1/4 billion, I could imagine some control being thought of by the officials.I don't know, I don't think price controls are very successful. Ancient Greek and Ancient Rome also tried that, and the result was failure.Capitalism is, by most, the best way to go for anyone. It is much better to allow people to make their buying decisions and chose which store to purchase products from.Makes sense, no? The buyers pay what they feel like, no what is by law.

Food service is considered essential. In China the government controls food, petro, communication (this one I have a bit of problem with), and transportation, because they're considered essential to people's daily life and government control ensures that no drastic things can happen.

I have a question for you: if China was state-capitalist, then why does the government control the price of food?Government does have a role in the job market, that is for certain. But don't you think that there is too much government in our lives? No matter what communists say, they always want government. Government this, government that.Don't people look around in society wuth their own senses anymore? Can't people do their own charity organizations? All they want is government.

Dude work assignment was so last generation... There's a job market in private, foreign companies and (mostly) semi-private companies. There's a market in China. There are investors in China. The fact that there's government *approval* involved doesn't make it communist. Communism is about the government having *direct control* over the economy. In that respect, China is a state-capitalist country.

I don't speak from gut, I speak from opinion.Research can be done on Wikipedia by searching "The Eye 2." This Chinese horror movie was approved by the government. In China, one must have permission in order to sell products including movies, food, water, anything. So, why is it that you say that I know nothing about China? Ask my Chinese brothers, they will tell you. In China, the government assigns you to work. You have no say as to where you wish to work. :)
