Willie Nelson & Eric Clapton ~ Nightlife (Live)

Another great clip from the DVD, "Willie Nelson and Friends - Live & Kickin", it was Willie Nelson's 70th birthday party at New York City's famed Beacon Theatre on April 9, 2003.

just a simple blues progression. they may have been playing major 7th chords or 9ths but they weren't playing any maj9b5 or 11/13th chords. not many jazz chords if any are present.

Screamingbug I have a suggestion for you, try to duplicate it ? They are simply following the background music and the drummer when they solo, both are masters of there trade. Thanks for the post!!!!

Night Life is one of the greatest blues songs ever written, I think. Willie is one hell of a writer! Nobody ever talks about Willie's blues songs, including at least two other truly great songs: Rainy Day Blues (from early '60s), and Opportunity to Cry (the version on "Pancho & Lefty" is killer.)B.B. King did a great version, indeed--trading licks with Bonnie Raitt! Its probably around here somewhere...
