try the circles with your knee slightly bent. you want to carve the cicle not with your foot, but using your femer bone to trace the circles. it will take some time to do the circle with you left fully extended.

But there are very different types of yoga...and nowadays nobody does the ancient yoga...because our body can“t do that...sorry my english mistakes... ;)
