I am restoring the 1895 Polk home in Beaumont, Texas. We discovered a first person account from I.D. Polk of weathering the storm inside the Tremont. If you will compare the film to a before photo you will note that the Tremont is filmed from the rear and is in the final few frame of the film.

Thanks for posting these. I am reading "Isaac's Storm" and they have a map showing the location of the Tremont. It looks like it was about 20 blocks from the ocean and 6 blocks from the bay. This category 4 hurricane killed 8,000 people, making it the deadliest natural disaster to ever hit the United States.
