if your intention is to end your life because of personal Reasons (Depression,pain ect)than its HARAMbut if you do it for the Sake of Allah (swt) than its a noble Act of jihad ALHAMDULILAH!

That is, there is a clear distinction between Istishad (martyrdom) and Intihar ("suicide") - in both the intention of the individual, and what results from their act.

The prophet Muhammed(PBUH) gave very clear rules on fighting and combat. One of the main rules are you CANNOT "fight" in civilian areas, you cannot destroy someone's property, you cannot harm women and children and suicide bombers do all of this.

I just wanna add btw that you keep calling me moderate like it's a bad thing. Well I will tell you now that Islam does not promore extremism. Moderism and extremism does not exist in islam. And the definition of suicide is: An-Nisaa 4:29-30. Do not kill yourselves, for Allah is compassionate towards you. Whoever does so, in transgression and wrongfully, We shall roast in a fire, and that is an easy matter for Allah.

How's this for a westernised moderate? Go fuck yourself!! The taliban are not wonderful. They promote the killing of shi'te muslims, says girls are not allowed to go to school and act as if they are the only authority on islam without any proper credence or education to back them up. And it does harm us, Islam does not need enemies. We should be enlightening people with islam, not making them hate us. Islam is a beautiful religion and I am sick of people like you trashing it.

it harms us?how so?yes i believe the Taliban is WonderfulMashAllaah they are Great mujahideen and the True Lions of this ummah.I NEVER SAID SUICIDE IS HALAL.I AGREE IT IS HARAM.but the Martyrdom Operations are NOT suicide.go learn what the islamic concept of Suicide is..i know the Rules of War.and i dont think killing innocents is justified.but Anyone who Supports the killing of muslims with Their Arms,money or Words ARE NOT INNOCENT.i repeat stop being such a Westernized Moderate

I care if muslims have a bad name, because it harms us. You sound so uneducated, you probably think the taliban are wonderful too. Suicide is clearly haram, lashing out against an entire population of people is wrong and there are clear rules in regards to war. You cannot harm innocent bystanders and that includes women and children and even trees and crops. I study Islam before I form my opinions, I don't blindly follow anything. I suggest you should do the same.
