I love this song!!!I like Belle's parts, especially when she sings about reading. I feel that way about books, too!!! They are amazing!!! :^)And so is this movie!!!

Honestly, anyone who thinks that songs like "Belle" or "Savages" are sexist/racist/prejudiced in any way are being dimwitted. These songs are supposed to EXPLOIT prejudice in a way to show how ridiculous prejudice really is. I can't believe how many people miss that point...

I actually think that it was supposed to lampoon sexism, the townspeople aren't a model of enlightenment and heavy thought, so the comment was meant to make fun of sexist attitudes, not promote them.
