i would say the air cleaner is home made and it is housed on a linkert carb most likely an m74b. the frame appears to be a harley wishbone which were made from 48 to mid 54. it also could be an after market v-twin too though the japaneses guys tend to use all original parts. i could tell you exactly if i was standing there. it is missing the tool box mount i see...
