"Descent" by Parallax Software, released in 1995. What's running in the video is a reimplementation of some of Descent's rendering algorithms using only published or reverse-engineered file format specifications, using none of the original code.And the user interface is very different because it is written for a virtual reality environment. But it's still sort of the same game, in a way.
