yes, outstanding bass line, 33 years after i discovered the Beatles and I'm still learning from them.... bass lines, harmonies (check out John join Paul on the last verse of Hey Jude), chord changes, instrument choices.... they're the best -

Oasis uses similar EVERYTHING to The Beatles, bass lines, chords, etc...they just copied everything and made a formula out of it that they've rehashed over and over.

I agree. I think his songwriting overshadowed his bass playing. Shit, just being a Beatle overshadowed it. Out of all the Beatles, I think that Paul was best at his instrument(don't get mad folks, that's just my opinion). Having said that, song wise, John Lennon does it for me. No contest at all.

Absolutely! Nobody, NOBODY was playing bass like this in 1964. Sir Paul rarely get's the credit he deserves as a bassist.Although, it's kind of hard to feel sorry for him for that, aint it?

Pauls bass line in this song is mind blowing, as a bass player myself, its one of my all time favorites. Oasis uses bass lines similar to this
