I ain't a Brit, and you are of course welcome to your opinion. Me? I think it's great how they did this video right since the song is hardly changed at all from the original outside of production/mixing. If anything I would quibble about the choice of how it was mixed on the board, but that would be like complaining about the Sun being too bright. The video and song are a great tribute to Joy Division. But which version is better? Shit, who cares? Flip a coin, they're both excellent.

irishchick the guy's name is sam riley... many of the clips are from the movie 'control' that depicts ian curtis' life from late teens until his tragic death. the film is directed by anton corbijn who actually photographed joy division back in the day. good film you should check it out... sam riley does a sick job, he even sang all the songs himself and does a decent 'epilepsy' dance.

this cover doesn't have the eeriness or darkness as ian's version but the killers' energy has given a sense of rebirth to joy division.
