Senator Jim Webb Responds to the President
"It would not be possible in this short amount of time to actually rebut the President's message, nor would it be useful. Let me simply say that we in the Democratic Party hope that this administration is serious about improving education and healthcare for all Americans, and addressing such domestic priorities as restoring the vitality of New Orleans." Pelosi and the DemoRats lied to usLook this is not rocket science. Stock market was at a record high 15 months ago. The House market started going down the tubes about a year ago and the Recession has started since Democrats have been in control of Congress Obama is saying the economy is weak. If you look back ever since the Democrats have taken over the Congress in Jan, 2007 it has been going downhill.Obama is trying to make like it is the GOP fault.

"HefDiggityDog: Being a combat vet let me just make this clear, Iraq, whether it be the "green zone" in Baghdad or near the Iranian border in Kurkuk, is a combat zone.Anyone who does not believe that this new GI Bill is worth the tax on the $1 million plus a year households should really reconsider living in America.I think McCains bill is also a nice boost and either one would be appreciated by many service members, if not all, but why not the best if it only taxes the richest few?"Dang

Sen. Webb flies the Confederate flag just like the man he beat and criticized for doing the same, Goerge AllanJim Webb -- "The greatest disservice on this count has been the attempt by these revisionist politicians and academics to defame the entire Confederate Army in a move that can only be termed the Nazification of the Confederacy."

Jim Webb exemplifies what's best in American politics. I'm a Republican myself, and I only wish that the GOP could come up with candidates who are combat veterans like Jim who have the intellect, integrity, and leadership capability to offer this nation public servants who have earned our respect. I especially like the way he highlighted TR and Ike as the type of Republican chief executive that the current office holder would do well to emulate.

His son "Jimmy" was very much in the UNsafe zone. He served in both Afghanistan and Iraq. The Webb family is very much emmersed in the "warrior ethic" and they would be ashamed to take special treatment while serving.

For the record, this is actually Webb's 8th book, He has ONLY written one book since the short time he was elected. Don't worry,he will surely surpass Junior in that area.:)

Where? In the safe zone? Was he actually going out with "combat troops" outside the green zone? Just wondering.
