arion52,there were black people that had the disease, but when they died, they had to bring more black men into study to continue it. So when those black men died, the study would stop. So of course black men were injected. And penicilin was a well known cure but the gov't deliberately witheld treatment and allowed them to suffer. That's the problem!

He is incorrect, penicillin was discovered in 1928 by Sir Alexander Fleming a Scottish Scientist.. The Tuskegee experiment however started in 1932-1972(40 yrs). So even if it wasn't out for two years, the government still did'nt treat the infected for 38 yrs.. Fox.. Fair and Balanced?
