Heath Ledger had a Joker diary, which he kept four months before shooting. In it, theres a list of what would make the Joker laugh including AIDS, landmines, geniuses suffering irreversible brain damage, brunch, blind or dead babies, accidents, really horrible stuff, fire trucks on fire, irony, and sombreros.

Of course he shouldn't get an Oscar just because he died. He should get the oscar for giving us the single greatest performance in the history of cinema!

He doesn't deserve an oscar because he died, he deserved it because he was brilliant in the role of such a different character. To say he should get the oscar because he died is an insult to him; he was a gifted australian actor and he needs to be rewarded for one of the most memorable performances in history...right up there with Orson Welles in Citizen Kane, etc.

I think that Heath Ledger should get an oscar. He was the best Joker there was. No one could ever replace a wonderful actor like him. RIP HEATH LEDGER:'( :(

i just wanna take note that he represented the joker. But also defined it as well. also...specifically they way he talked...it was unique...even more specifically...the way he would breath, and touch his tung against his lips etc...its those details that i notices that were important, just as much as his laugh...and his walk etc. oh yeah its extremely entertaining.

I think that Heath Ledger should get an oscar. He was the best Joker there was. No one could ever replace a wonderful actor like him. But we might see a person better then Heath.

i really had, as many people, great expectations from and to him... he was such a excelent actor...so the oscar should be well deserved... he already should have won...with brokeback mountain..(we may not like the movie but he was great in the roll..)
