I suppose we have to accept and respect that art is subjective and one mans meat etc... It does rub you up wrong when someone misses the point though. I still don't understand why someone bothers to comment in a negative manner...it's not like it shows in your paypal account...and your spending effort on who cares less! A positive response to a video is encouragement to the poster IMO.I encourage you thoosah! :)If we put everyone off we'll end up checking our empty e-mails.

Agreed I can't remember Syd in Ummagumma, Dark Side or The Final Cut either, not in person anyway. Listen to the guy confidently clucking away on his Danelectro on this track though....he wasn't afraid to express himself in unorthodox ways. It was the key to Roger Rick and co getting out of the Rythm and Blues thing and becoming more alternative and ultimately managing to follow that course after he'd gone.... I note that they didn't revert back to what they had played before he Syd went.

some of syds songs were much different then roger waters, some seemed more complex, this is definately out there, but syd also wrote some other songs that were also very good and slightly more predictable like "milky way" not sure if thats the name of the song but.... so much diff then roger waters its hard to compare, syd was definately the most first perspective and least self aware, part of what made his music so good

That's YOUR opinion. My least favorite is the Division Bell, and that's MY opinion.

syd was, is, and always will be part of the pink floyd. His influence on the signature sound and themes that make Pink Floyd what it is take center stage IMO. And what is an artist without their main repertoire? They're all great musicians, technicians. Barret's influence drove it TOWARD the realms of infinities. They man's solo efforts are nearly all Gilmour on the production doing a ton of mache work....Maybe I'm just stating the obvious. Other's have been saying the same thing since the 60's.
