I know what you are saying and this is one area where there is just no convincing people who have their minds made up. Warmth is just frequency equalization. There are people out there that love old plastic grooved records and nothing will make them change either. I was being a bit silly above and I respect your choice but from a technical view, it just doesn't make sense. I just really hate tubes.

They are better yes. More efficient that is. But in many peoples opinions they are much less warm than tubes.

I can see where your coming from with hi-fi sound, transistors were great for that, but for instrument amplification (most significantly guitar) i think the tube sounds best. Not to say transistors have to be bad, Just look at the Roland Jazz chorus 120

Ok MentalMaster(bator) here's the way it is: you don't have any videos up so you're a poser. Most likely some jr high kid, your mother dresses you funny and you live your pretend life on the internet. You're angry because kids tease you all day.Truth is, if I gave you an A-B comparison, you couldn't tell the difference.

well its supposed to be more like a recto then a mark. if u want that bluesy tone, go buy a mark I reissue.
MetalMaster91 (August 7, 2008 at 3:00 am)
transistors were great for other things because it made them run better, but when it comes to amps, it just makes the overall sound worse. who cares if u got to wait 5 min for an amp to warm up, having better tone is worth it. and 5 min isnt even that long...

get ur head out of ur ass tubes are the best. ask any professional. Modeling is very thin and generally crappy sounding. why do u think line 6 is putting tubes in their amps now? they realized it was stupid to use anything else.
